AksyonVAW (Aksyon Violence Against Women) is a mobile application that calls on all users of information and communication technologies (ICT) especially women and girls to take control of technology and strategically use any ICT platform at hand for activism against gender-based violence. The project demonstrates the need for users to know their rights and to keep safe when online. The app features three types of violence women face online - such as cyber bullying, identity theft and online harassment - and provides some solutions and tips on what to do when one experiences such violence online.
Requires iOS 8.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
